Description:

We are looking for a Scientific Officer to work within the Activinsights team. The individual will support all aspects of clinical science and research across the company and client projects with the opportunity to work the some of the world’s leading scientists in remote patient monitoring. This full-time post is based at our offices in Kimbolton.

This role will support the development of digital health measures using data from Activinsights’ medical device wearables and grow the insight services offered within the clinical, healthcare, and academic markets. The role is central to the progression of the company into regulated clinical trials markets and will support the global commercialisation of innovative products and services.

Candidate Attributes:

Educated to at least graduate level in a scientific discipline, you will be numerate with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You must have a proven ability to work autonomously and drive innovation with a high level of scientific acumen.

In your career so far, you may have previously held roles as a clinical research associate or post-doctoral researcher. In this client and market facing role, you use your skills to promote the company as well as the science and research behind our products and services.

The successful candidate will have experience of interpreting health data and the statistical analysis of results. You will enjoy searching and evaluating scientific literature to develop well-referenced manuscripts and internal validations.

Experience in clinical therapeutics, behaviour and lifestyle research or the use of wearables in healthcare would be advantageous.

Responsibilities:
  • Researching and interpreting client study protocols
  • Recommending study designs and wearable deployment plans for proposals
  • Supporting the running of client projects and the interpretation of results
  • Systematic research of relevant literature and digital clinical measures
  • Maintaining databases of academic research, clinical trials and digital clinical measures
  • Developing regular clinical insight and scientific review content for company marketing
  • Informing the design specification of new variations, features and functionalities
  • Completing the validation of new variations, features and functionalities
  • Internal reporting of advancements in global clinical trials, academic publications / funding and public health trends monthly
  • Supporting regulatory compliance for all products and services
  • Other office-based scientific and technical duties within a small, growing, and friendly team.
Who you will work with:
  • The commercial team to understand client needs, propose solutions and deliver marketing content
  • The CTO and technical development team to support the innovation and development of new products and services
  • The Regulatory Manager to deliver clinical evaluations and post-market surveillance
  • The Quality Manager to ensuring GCP are performed throughout the company
  • The Board to support the implement of the company growth strategy.
