  • ISDAM | Toronto, Canada

The theme for ICDAM 2025 embraces the evolution in diet and physical activity methods since the 2000 conference, while thinking about the work that lies ahead to ensure that high-quality methods are available and accessible for all.

The 2000 conference theme was Promoting the appropriate use of dietary assessment tools for all. Since then, ICDAM expanded to focus on methods for assessing both diet and physical activity, and subsequent conferences addressed the need for methods that are appropriate to various populations and contexts.

With the theme for ICDAM 2025, 25 years on: Diet and activity methods for all, we invite participants to consider how advances in methods can contribute toward the vision of the International Society for Diet and Activity Methods, the wide availability and use of robust methods for the assessment of diet and physical activity across contexts, settings, and populations. Accordingly, we welcome submissions that explicitly address equity and inclusiveness, including with respect to building capacity and inclusiveness in the field.

Accelerating the Path to Approval: Validating Novel Digital Clinical Measures

Novel digital measures offer a huge potential to capture meaningful aspects of health in ways that have been previously impossible to assess. These measures can capture new concepts that focus on how a patient feels, functions, or behaves and can capture them in real-world environments at a significantly increased frequency without clinician supervision.

However, the increasing adoption of these novel digital measures is limited by a gap in the clinical and regulatory science underpinning their validation. By addressing these gaps, we’re establishing a stronger evidence base for digital health tools, making it easier for regulators, payors, and clinicians to adopt these technologies confidently.

DATAcc by DiMe, along with a multi-stakeholder group which includes Joss Langford, CTO and Co-Founder of ActivInsights will discuss this new framework and toolkit.
